Welcome to Westlake
Perfectly located close to downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie.
Westlake is an appealing suburb of Cleveland—just 12 miles from downtown—bordering the magnificent Lake Erie. Urban and affluent, Westlake has access to several major highways and commuter routes, including I-90 and Center Ridge Road, which makes it an ideal location for anyone wanting to work in the city without living in its center.
Westlake was first settled around 1810 as part of Dover Township. As parts of the township decided to incorporate on their own, the remaining portion of the township was renamed Dover Village and eventually incorporated in 1957 under the name of Westlake. Now, the area is home to around 35,000 residents, and consequently, the area is urban enough to have the conveniences of city living without feeling as densely populated as Cleveland.
With plenty of diverse residential neighborhoods, Westlake will certainly have the property that suits your needs. Townhomes and apartments, single-family brick ranches, stunning French Colonial estates—Westlake is brimming with options.
